Bodhi Tree Sangha
Rooted in the life-affirming practices of mindfulness and compassion
"Trees are the earth's endless efforts to speak to the listening heaven."
Rabindranath Tagore
Our Story
Bodhi Tree Sangha was born when eight women sat in a circle under a tree in a powerful moment of shared love and healing. It is a wholly women-owned organization committed to building community and healing hearts and minds through the practices of mindfulness and compassion.
We are eight mindfulness teachers trained by Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach, and certified by UC Berkeley's Greater Good Science Center, who help members of our communities cultivate and maintain a regular mindfulness and meditation practice. We do this by creating online and in-person spaces where people can gather in an environment of safety and belonging to practice together.
We believe in the transformative and healing power of these practices to create a more just and peaceful world. We are especially motivated to share these teachings and practices with underserved populations in India and Pakistan.
